Claudio Armandi
Claudio is a certified USPTA, PTR Professional, Master Coaching Professional in the PTR 10/under Coaching program, and one of the country’s leading experts in junior development and club programming.
He is a former USTA staff member serving as the USTA’s Community Coordinator/Service Rep for the state of Connecticut. He is also a former national USTA RCW Trainer and national QuickStart 10/under Clinician conducting workshops and trainings for programs throughout the United States.
At the national coaching level, Claudio was a teaching professional at the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Florida, where he coached some of the nation’s premiere high performance junior players and WTA/ATP professional tour players.
Over the course of his career, Claudio has been a manager/director of tennis/coaching professional/ and consultant for various clubs, programs, schools, and organizations throughout New England and New York.
At the local Westchester level, Claudio was formerly the Director of Junior Development at the Yonkers Tennis Center in Yonkers where he was a key architect in the creation and development of the club’s current programs: junior & adult development, teaching curriculums, lesson plans, pathways, club philosophies & mission statements, marketing/pr, communications, customer service, parent education, staff development trainings, and the management of the day to day club operations.
Claudio is currently the owner of Armandi Tennis Academy & Consulting program where he is a coach, consultant and frequent speaker at USTA, USPTA, and PTR tennis industry conferences. He has presented and been a speaker on various topics from junior programming, event planning, customer service, club/program development, staff training, junior team tennis, USTA sanctioned tournaments & events, parent education, community activism & awareness, grassroots advocacy and more. His consulting firm provides innovative programming solutions to tennis clubs, schools, parks & rec. programs, grassroots organizations, administrators, teachers, recreational coaches, tennis professionals, directors, and owners in the public and private sector.
